About Us

About Us

4th Andover (The Clatfords) Scout Group is a volunteer-led Scout Group based in the Clatfords, just outside Andover in Hampshire. We are part of Scouts UK and a registered charity (number 302198), giving young people in our community the chance to learn skills for life through adventure, friendship and fun.

Every week our young people take part in a packed programme – games, crafts, outdoor adventures, camps and community projects – across three sections:

  • Beavers – ages 6 to 8
  • Cubs – ages 8 to 10½
  • Scouts – ages 10½ to 14

Whatever their age, our members are encouraged to try new things, make friends, take on challenges and grow in confidence, independence and teamwork.

Our purpose

As part of the worldwide Scout Movement, our charitable aim is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential – as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national and international communities.

Run by volunteers

The Group is run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteer leaders and trustees who give their time so that young people in the Clatfords and Andover can enjoy Scouting. As a registered charity we rely on members’ subscriptions, fundraising and the generosity of our local community to keep adventure affordable for every young person.

Get involved

We always welcome new young people and new volunteers. Whether you would like your child to join one of our sections, lend a hand as a leader or helper, or support the Group, we would love to hear from you.
